Mike insists on getting your mounts as white and oil free as humanly possible and believes in great customer satisfaction and service.
About the Process
First, we remove the hide and as much meat as possible from the skull. Then we place your trophy in with the beetles and let them do their job. Dermestid beetles will strip the meat and totally clean a skull usually within 24-36 hours. Once the skull has been stripped, we begin the process of degreasing and whitening it. It is essential that excess body fat and grease are removed in order to produce a quality trophy that will last for generations. This process can take up to 30 days depending on the type of animal it is and what shape it is in when we receive it.
